Awards season is here and there is no event quite like the Golden Globe Awards. I can personally attest to that having been lucky enough to attend a few years ago. The organizers have recently unveiled the decor theme and it seems like it’s going to be a beautiful event – once again. Today marks the anniversary of President John F. Kennedy’s death. That afternoon, the Boston Symphony was performing and this is what happened. I found it to be a great example of effectively handling a very difficult situation. It makes me wonder how a situation like that would be handled today.
Seaport Boston is hosting their 2nd annual Christmas in the City Toy Drive and Celebrity Holiday Tree Auction on December 3rd. The event’s proceeds will benefit Christmas in the City, an organization that provides a celebration for women and children in shelters or transitional housing across the city during the holiday.
